Meet Me!

Hullo! I'm Laura, a French Illustrator & Art Director based in Melbourne. I specialise in whimsical, fairytale-like compositions through pencil drawing & digital art. My inspirations stem from natural elements, fictional universes, primitive cultures and mythologies, resulting in unique hybrid illustrations that creatively blend these elements into new forms.

As a female artist, I am particularly passionate about drawing empowered women figures. I find inspiration in their strength, resilience, and ability to overcome adversity, and I seek to represent these qualities in my work. Through my illustrations, I aim to celebrate the diversity and beauty of women, and to empower others to embrace their own inner strength.

The back story...

Ever since I can remember, I've been scribbling and doodling with a pen in hand. I guess it was only natural that my love for drawing led me to pursue a creative career.

Born and raised in a quaint French town in Normandy, my artistic journey led me to the vibrant streets of Paris, where I pursued my studies in graphic design for five immersive years.

Along the way, I had the incredible opportunity to work with renowned names in the fashion industry like Balmain and Elite Model. But the call of adventure and sunshine drove me to the enchanting island of Malta in the Mediterranean. For a couple of  unforgettable years, I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in a dynamic creative company, infusing my work with the colours and vibrancy of this enchanting location.

Fuelling my nomadic spirit, I embarked on a journey of travel, freelancing across landscapes, until destiny led me to the captivating shores of Australia, which I now proudly call home.
